Very interesting reading.I have fond childhood memories of the area in the late 1950s.I used to visit my family who lived for a while in a house that I always knew to be called ‘The Manor House’that was situated in the bottom of the valley.I would get the bus to Deanhead and walk down to the house. In the winter my family would move up to Deanhead and live in a cottage there, whilst caretaking at the same time.If you could shed any light on my memeories I would be very grateful.
